I just bought a CD-RW today, and I want to burn a cd I own onto another cd. Since the rw is giving me troubles, I'd like to just rip all the tracks off of my cd into mp3's, and then burn those files onto a cd. I tried cdcopy, but I can't get it to work.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Download Nero 5.0 its got a 30 day trial of unlimited functions...its an awesome cd copy utility. u wont have to rip the tracks...if ur going to rip tracks go download RazorLame to get the best possible audio rip and then use nero to burn the mp3s into audio tracks.

It's not the easiest thing to use, but it's supposed to be one of the best. Last I heard, anyway. I haven't done much ripping lately.

Don't worry about making them into mp3s, just rip them to .wav, and then burn them to CD. You lose quality with mp3, of course. And it sounds like you are just wanting to copy a CD. No need to bother with encoding to mp3.
