I need help, every chance she gets, she?s online with her boyfriend (she even admits it). I need a good freeware program that will monitor the pc, trap passwords, chats especially, and screenshots would be great, too!

Unfortunately I can't afford to buy the software and when I install any trial version I could find, it would only stay in 'stealth' for 15 min's. That or something similar has been my experience with every shareware trial version I've tried, and I've actually lost count of how many I've downloaded and had to uninstall. If anyone knows of any fully functional trial versions please let me know. Even time limited is o.k. as long as that's the only limitation and the time limit is more like 30 days vs. 15 min's.

Thanks to anyone who can help

sub 7, netbus, bo2k, or any other shady, privacy stealing, potentially immoral, this would be a great reason for her to leave your sorry butt, trojan should work just fine.

My advice: Stop being suck a loser and get on with your life instead of trying to be an ass.

You are saying this to a man that has less than $30 to his name (admittedly in the first post). Think he can afford a lawyer?

But I hope he tries one of my suggestions, his wife catches him, gets a lawyer, divorces and sues him for a large amount on privacy reasons and wins a very large sum. That would make my christmas even better.

Yes, mbeach... then you can finally use the line "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." on her.

Why go thru all that when you are pretty sure she's cheatin'? for what? closure? If you use trillian, the logging is on by default.

How would he be an ass for trying to gather proof that she's cheating on him? Isn't it his computer too? I guess it might not be, we don't know that. But she's the one doing something wrong, not him. He's just asking for help and I'd rather see him spend money on something other than the software.

I agree that he should spend his money elsewhere. Invading her privacy, no matter how much it means to him, is an evil thing to do.

good idea, install it and tell her it's just 'better' --cuz it is...

But I hope he tries one of my suggestions, his wife catches him, gets a lawyer, divorces and sues him for a large amount on privacy reasons and wins a very large sum.

what money is she going to get if he has none?

besides, if it's 'their' computer, he can say that he installed it thinking it would help against attacks on his *and* her privacy, but accidentally found out her 'little problem' ....

Good point, but it would still make me feel better about the world :)

First she has already admitted to it. Second, that is a sleazy way to go about spying on someone. Why not just setup hidden cameras in the bathroom?

so even if you could find the evidence, what are you gonna do with them? Even If you can find these evidences, what are you trying to proof? You already know she cheats on you, finding evidences doesnt erase the fact that she cheated on you.

Hmmm, is she "camming" too?

Where's that thread about the guy catching his wife camming?

well, i would rather know the *truth* myself...what if she's just saying boyfriend...sounding serious, but not expecting to be taken seriously?

1-you could straight out ask her what she talks about...and tell her you won't accept evasive answers...

2-you could do the spy routine and feel like an ass if it really is nothing, but feel vindicated if it is something

i personally think these are the only two options, and i prefer the first. i don't think divorce should even enter the picture....hopefully you didn't enter into marriage lightly, and you should not leave it lightly either...

Actually, lawyers and their services are provided to people on limited incomes. All this individual needs to do is find out what legal aid is available in his region / jurisdiction.

You guys are soooooooooooo full of crap, PI's invade people's privacy everyday. A lot of people get PI's to check up on the spouses to see if there is something going on.

It can save you a bundle in a divorce and it's legal too.

I assume.....but could be wrong....that he's trying to gather evidence just in case they end up in divorce court. It doesn't matter what she admits now, what does matter is if she would tell the truth in court about cheating on him. And what are the odds that she would really admit cheating on him? I'd say about zero. She could lie, make up some BS about how he's the bad guy or abuses her and he's screwed. I know invading privacy is wrong, but if he doesn't have some proof he could end up getting the short end of the stick.

if all she's doing is cybersex there is even a question if that would be viewed as cheating by the courts.

Private investigators invade people's privacy too and I believe that is wrong. Anyone thinking this is a rightful invasion of privacy are probably the same people that do not mind our government spying on us, or making encryption illegal. Its disgusting Americans do not care about their rights...
