i'm surprised nobody was like "yeah yeah car sales men need to make a living too!!" or "buy a focus and support your damn country!!"

I dont' care about dealerships or car salesmen. I only care about myself.

In the future cars will be built to order like PCs and they'll be delivered to your house.

That eliminates the middleman completely.. who needs em

ok I just came back from the dealership and am pretty pissed

first of all we had a HUGE flood yesterday and I was hoping my local dealer would be above sea level. Boy was i mistaken, every car had tons of dirt all over it's side and the radiator was filled with dirt and twigs and stuff

the cars looked so bad like they were all old and rusty on the brakes so it left a bad taste in my mouth when trying to really beast over a sedan or a coupe because they looked like they came out of a rally race. Hard to appreciate a new car that's been heavily soiled

I asked if any cars were flooded and he said a few were flooded and now they will be sent to insurance or auction and sold for cheap. I wonder what constitutes a "flood" and what kind of damage could it really cause.. and what kind of $$ will they sell for at auction? Sounds like a small price to pay for some dirt on the interior to save like half price.

Just FYI, the metal used on brakes tends to get surface rust incredibly fast if they sit in moist weather. It's not a huge deal and it will all go away after a few times braking.

It's not the dirt you need to worry about with flooded cars, it's water getting into places it shouldn't for mechanical components, (transmission, engine oil, differential, etc) into the electrical system, and causing mold and mildew on the interior.

If you know what you're doing you can salvage flooded cars pretty successfully provided they are dealt with pretty quickly. You've got to start drying the interior and drain and refill any fluids ASAP. However the car will most likely come with a salvage title and a mention of flooding in its carfax and I doubt it will be sold with any warranty. Financing will probably be non-existent too.

I dunno.. I am being offered that on an EX-L V6 now.. assuming I have to drive 30 miles to get it.
I'll go ahead and call BS on that. I checked DriveAccord and Edmunds for prices paid exhaustively, I haven't seen a new 2010 EX-L V6 for $23,000. Feel free to provide a link of someone claiming they got that price.

That makes no sense at all, my brother paid 20k for his EX 4 cyl. 3k more for V6 and leather? I doubt it.

check the edmunds for the G37.. it says $32,000.. You can get them for $28,500 with $3,500 incentive and 4% financing or $32,000 w/0% for 36 mo.. MSRP $35,700
