My mom is starting her own business, so this computer would be used for her new business. She would also use it for her ipod music.

So really i just want one of the best laptops out there for under $1500. My mom won't be doing too much on it really but I want to have her set for the future with this thing so that it goes way over waht she needs, because well she told me she will spend as much as $1500.

So, whats the best i can get? Exact models and links to that laptop would be great, or if u think i should build one on you know, compaq website, etc then thats cool too, just looking for suggestions! Thanks!

-and i want a windows operating system, just FYI.

also i was looking at PCWorld, and i had recently purchased the HP dv8000z at circuit city, and im thinking the same thing for my mom sense she doesnt need a real small laptop because she will be doing little to no traveling wih it... so it looks like a good buy, but i guess its not perfect for business?

Which brings up a question, the computers that are focused around business, whats the point of them? What makes them different from just buying a personal computer? I dunno seems kinda pointless and i reccomended the dv8000z for this guy even though it was gonna be a business computer....

alright thanks, its interesting that the business computers, from a hardware stance, on the hp.com website are a lot worse for more money then the personal computers.

i thinks its just stupid

Thats a HP dv8000t for $1553

Then theres a dell inspiron 9400 for $1533. They are very similar, the dv8000Z got good reviews, thats the Z though, never heard anything about the 9400. I think it is more business oriented (sense it is under small business on the dell website), while the dv8000t is titled as a "personal home computer"
