with what all little knowledge I have, decided to build a machine with following config.

Pentium G620 processor
(advise me for a compatible motherboard and best ssd, 60 to 64 gb max)
Samsung 19300b led monitor
4 gb ram (suggest me one) 1333 or 1066 ?

I will use win 7 later upgrade to win 8
office 2010
cad 2011
photoshop cs5

is the above config good enough for a smooth experience?

thank you all in anticipation

The G620 processor is good processor and with a 1155 socket you have a lot of upgrade option in the future. Here is a budget board I was looking at that got good reviews.

Board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138332

1600 ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820313080

60 GB SSD is a good boot drive but if you plan to have a lot of pictures, movies or songs you could fill it up in no time. 60GB SSD would be around the same price as 500GB is a mechanical drive. Keep in mind your Windows 7 install, office2010 cad and photoshop will probably eat a good 40 gigs of that. Those were just a couple things I was looking at.

Thanks a lot Matt1970.
May I know which is a good ssd drive currently 60 to 64 gb ?
and if 6 gb/s will be better than 3 gb/s (will it really make a difference in performance of the PC)

It's kind of hard to consider a SSD when you are doing a budget build. Most will suggest you take the extra $$ you are spending on a SSD and put it towards a faster processor. The reason being is a SSD well excel at loading windows and your other programs but once you are in windows and have your programs up and running the SSD sits idle and you are using processor/memory. Also if fill that 60 GB SSD up, and in all likelihood you will, you are going to need another drive for storing stuff and then you have the added aggravation of keeping track of what files go on what drive.

These kinds of threads are usually handled (and get more responses) in the General Hardware section. There's a list of questions there in one of the stickied threads. When answered, those questions make it much easier for people to help you with your build.

My rig in my sig is about as good as it gets for a budget build. Go with a i3 2100 its a monster for being a dual core
Think I spent under $500 with everything new but the video card being used

SSD's have come down in price, but if you are pinching pennies I would just go with a decent HDD, you can always add a properly sized SSD later. I have a 60GB Agility3 in my build and it's already too small, and I hate splitting programs between 2 drives like I am now (pictures and media is OK.)

How about:

G620
Gigabyte H61
G.Skill RAM
Hitachi HDD
Corsair 430w PSU
Windows 7

$400 (US) You still need a case, and some of those items you can find on sale if you watch the ads.

I purchased a G620 for my HTPC and it works well. Obviously don't expect to run high end games on it, but it's more then serviceable.

That's what I'm planning to use in my HTPC build... It seems like a pretty good processor at more than half off an i3.

Dear Matt1970,
I think you have a point there about ssd processor and memory, but what about read write while opening and saving photoshop files (will this not effect the processing speed and thus the overall experience a great deal??)

Thanks for the suggestion DSF, I will definitely look up, there.
