So here's the deal: I have an overclocking curse. I have never been able to get a stable overclock on a CPU. Ever. Not even back in the Cyrix 166 days. I'd like you to help me break it.
Right now I have the following setup:
CPU: i7-4790k C0 Stepping
MB: Asus Z97M-Plus
Memory: 4x8GB Crucial BLT8G3D1608DT1TX0.
Cooling: Corsair H110i Version 2
GPU: EVGA Founder's Edition 1080Ti
So, dear reader, how do I get an overclock to work on this beast? I've tried the automatic overclocking function on the motherboard with no luck. My CPU is at 27C under light load and 40C after 5 minutes of Prime 95 with 12K FFTs. Any thoughts?
