I have installed a new Skythe Ninja heatsink for my Prescott and it fails to boot. The computer turns on, but I never get a display and my computer just sits there, no POST or anything. So when I replace the stock intel HS back on there, it boots. What is wrong? Is there too much force on my processor? How do i fix this?

Did you plug in the fan for the Scythe Ninja? (the 'c' is silent, btw) Some motherboards don't POST if there's no fan, IIRC.

Yes. I did plug in the fan. I even plugged in the old intel one. That is not the problem unfortunetly.

I've already told Kyle here to check if his mobo has the fan failure thing. Unfortunately, it's not the case.

Kyle, is the backplate of the Scythe touching any metal parts on the motherboard?
