I have a vinyl cutter and a jon boat I just painted. The side of the boat is blue and boring. It's missing something to jazz it up and look newer.

It's just a fishing boat and will be used on a small lake, but I painted it blue and want a Caribbean feel. I figure I can print out a white graphic to contrast with the blue and then some letters, maybe a boat name (shorter the better). Any ideas?

I was thinking about stenciling a marlin or a dolphin even though it's a fresh water mtn lake. Just trying to change my latitude.

I thought about going that route, but would rather try the decals first....just for kicks. I'm going to freehand something and then scan it for manipulation. I've never done anything like this before, so it's gonna be a fun project.

Much safer to xacto on a mat than on the boat.

I'm going to cut the vinyl/create the decals...then stick em. I have to figure out what to design first.

I want to scan whatever I draw into a computer and have a computer cut the design out.

You have one of those computer controlled cutting tables? Cool.

And a realistic one would need a microscope to be seen...

What part of the country are you in? If it's a nice, conservative, religious region...maybe some kind of FSM graphic.
