Help me become a Graphics designer

I have a vinyl cutter and a jon boat I just painted. The side of the boat is blue and boring. It's missing something to jazz it up and look newer.

It's just a fishing boat and will be used on a small lake, but I painted it blue and want a Caribbean feel. I figure I can print out a white graphic to contrast with the blue and then some letters, maybe a boat name (shorter the better). Any ideas?

I was thinking about stenciling a marlin or a dolphin even though it's a fresh water mtn lake. Just trying to change my latitude.

I thought about going that route, but would rather try the decals first....just for kicks. I'm going to freehand something and then scan it for manipulation. I've never done anything like this before, so it's gonna be a fun project.

Much safer to xacto on a mat than on the boat.

I'm going to cut the vinyl/create the decals...then stick em. I have to figure out what to design first.

I want to scan whatever I draw into a computer and have a computer cut the design out.

Yeah...my wife wanted one...I bought it for her as a gift for her Bday...then she never used it. I had the thought, "I should use this for something manly!"

So you can cut up vinyl and stick it on no? Like a vinyl wrap type thing. Since it's a boat, you should worship Aqua :awe:

What part of the country are you in? If it's a nice, conservative, religious region...maybe some kind of FSM graphic.

Ohh...easy to cure. Step 1..shave one side. Step 2..light your remaining hair on fire Step 3..When they jump out in the open, stab em with an ice pick
