Help me ATOTers...

OK all...

Back in High School when I used to get up early I would ALWAYS have stomach problems. Well, I'm a super senior in College now, but I'm taking an 8:30 AM class for the first time in a while, and I just can't handle it. I'm fine at any other time of the day, but in the mornings, my stomach goes wild.

I eat cheerios for breakfast ... nothing spectacular... and I don't eat late at night the night before. Any ideas?

Try cutting the milk as it can be hard on your stomach. I have the same problem with waking up early and eating. Just eat something small and healthy in the morning till you can eat something bigger at lunch. Try fruit.

I can't cut milk, it's a liquid!

Have you noticed a pattern on what type of food you eat? Have you tried just eating toast and seeing if that happens?

Try experimenting... instead of breakfast cereal, try yogurt, or anything in the bread family.

Try not eating right when you wake up. Take a bagel with you and eat it during or just after class.

Try this out too

I skip or eat a late breakfast for this reason. Usually a granola bar or bagel as a snack.

It could also be that you have too much acid in your stomach and when you wake up, you are kind of "riling it up" again.
I have the oppisite problem, stomach ache at night and that is what it is... acid. So, as others have said, eat something bland and not as soon as you get up. Toast with a bit of jelly or peanut butter or bagel.
I would stay away from a banana though.
