Help me...american metric system drives me nuts...

Ok, american watercooling hose size are measured in inches..while german meansurements uses mm...

so when american say 1/2 connection does it mean 0.5 inch?

So 0.5 inch = 12MM?

so according to this chart

First problem - there's no such thing as the "American metric system."

1 inch = 2.54 centimeters. Or for wagging it, 1 inch = 25 mm. Good enough.

I assume the american connection infot is not given as 1/2, it's given as 1/2"

Just FYI: in the american measurement system, the double tick mark aka "quote" (") denotes inches while the single tick mark (single quote) (') denotes feet.

So

1/2" == .5 inches ~= 12mm

1/2' == .5 feet == 6 inches == 144mm

descriptions says: Xtreme 12V Pump/Reservoir unit with ½ fittings

so the 1/2 fittings = 0.5 inch correct and also = 12mm

If you are requiring good measurements, you will want your statement to be like this:

"so the 1/2 fittings = 0.5 inch correct and also = 12.7mm"
