so i was watching late night tv and I saw a comercial for a mountain bike. it has auto gear changing thingy.

a link would be nice

Probably the Honda RN-01? They're tight-lipped about this one and won't let the press near enough to figure it out... but its called the G-Boxx or something like that.

GT has their own version too but I think it's only a concept so far with no intention to bring it mainstream.

I think it's called the Autobike. The idea/technology has been around for a while now.

It's a piece of junk. It's a low quality bike similar to any Huffy you'd find in K-mart, except it has a gimmicky shifting mechanism on it. Actual cyclists who don't care for shifting gears ride single speed bikes, not autobikes.

Really, how hard is it to shift gears on a bicycle? You pull a trigger and the gear changes.

thanks for the links. i was going to buy the bike just so I can remove the gear thingy and use it in my project. although now it seems you can buy these things by them self. I don't want the bike, just the gears.
