I have bought the following graphic card -
Gigabyte GEOFORCE 7600 GT GV-NX76T256D-RH

http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Products/VGA/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2235

As per the manual, the resolution supported are as given below
GeForce 7600 GT Single Display Standard Modes
Display
Screen : 32bpp(16.7M)
Resolution : True mode
1024 x 768
1280 x 960
1280 x 1024
1360 x 768
1600 x 900 (16:9)
1600 x 1024
1600 x 1200
1920 x 1080 (16:9)
1920 x 1200 (16:10)
1920 x 1440
2048 x 1536

I am planning to buy a 19" Wide Screen LCD (Chimei or Proview) which has a resolution of 1440 x 900 DPI.

What is the highest resolution that I can have on these LCDs?

Will i get 1440 x 900 DPI on this LCD or will i have to settle for 1360 x 768?
I am using the drivers that came with the Gigabyte card, do i need to get drivers from NVIDIA and then customise it?
thanks

the highest resolution you can have on those LCD's you're planning to buy is 1440x900. i think you're confusing resolution with dots per inch (DPI). resolution is how many pixels are in the entire screen, DPI is how many pixels per inch there are. yes, you will be able to get 1440*900 resolution on your LCD. you can use either the drivers from gigabyte's site, or the one's from nvidia's site. however, the ones from gigabyte are probably a little outdated -- i would reccomend using the newest ones from nvidia's site. :)
