I had/have tons of files and folders in my E:
now, I only see about 13gb worth.
my computer still shows the drive being 70gb full.
but i cannot see the remaining files/folders.

yes, i have 'show all files checked'.
I also ran a treesize program that essentially shows u a tree view of files on each partition and it only shows the 13gb.
how could the files disappear?
any ideas?

I also have a c: , d: and a f: and all the files in them are intact.
the f: drive is another hard drive alltogether.
the c:, d: and e: are one hdd

This is on a regular xp pro desktop

I am assuming the show all files is opening an explorer window and going to Tools, Folder Options, View then selecting Show hidden files and folders and then deselecting Hide protected operating system files.

Boot in safe mode before doing something drastic and make sure you scan for viruses.

You can/should be able to burn any floppy utility to a CDROM.

Are you seeing the 13gigs on the E partition or on the total drive? It could be a partition table problem.

I agree.

You might want to check out my suggestion in this thread.

Worked for me when my partition table got hosed.
