specs: dell poweredge 1400sc , dell perc 2channel raid card , winnt server 4 , 4 18gb scsi drives. c:\ = 1gb , d: = 16gb
ok, this server was running 1 mirror + a hotspare. its out of space so they wanted another drive added. solution: clear configuration, re-raid the original mirror, and create a 2nd mirror using the former hotspare and a new 18gb drive.
that part went just fine... when i rebooted the server and got into winnt it is missing the d: partition. disk administrator shows it as 16gb of freespace. but it still has the system (c
partition as it was!
what happened here? the data on d:\ was vital (yes, i have a backup taken yesterday evening, but there are 4gb of skipped .mdb files)
what am i missing? i don't wanna get canned!
