HELP! Looking for Wireless Printer (Wi-Fi?) HP Preferred

I am searching HP and ebay and i don't see anything. I think they discontinued all their Wi-Fi printers other than 2 business models and an expensive "traveL" one. I do NOT want crappy bluetooth and i do NOT want to connect it to a wireless router. I want to be able to plug it into any power source in the house (or backyard) and and that's IT, and be able to print wirelessly to it.

i do not want expensive and i could care less abotu feautre packed. if it has a scanner, coipier etc fine but i will NEVER use them i JUST want the printing part of it. I also would prefer something ont he small/medium side

price range $120-$200

so so reviews but it works well for me..just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to set it up on your wireless setup..

fast and pretty 🙂

The 6600D isn't brand new any more - already superceded by the 6700D besides neither the 6600D or the 6700D have wireless except for maybe infrared - can't take that to another room. They do have bluetooth adapters though. The iP5200R is the only Canon Wi right now.

Brother has several models of AIO with Wi built in - the MFC640CW and 820CW for example. But Brother's print quality isn't all that good. They have a pretty good TCO though. with their passive separate ink tanks. Yoiu can often get the 640 for around $150. AR (at Staples right now). Brother has some of the best networking of any - nearly every function can be shared across the net and it can also act as a stand-alone copier/fax without any connection to the computer. Driver installation can be a little more difficult because of the advanced networking features.

Plus I've seen something that's called a "wireless USB cable" that doesn't hook to the network. You put one piece at the PC and the other into the printer's USB port and thats it. And a wireless USB print server might work for you too.

.bh.

I've been using the Canon 5200R for a few months and I'm quite happy with it. Does a great job with text and prints.

I know you said you don't want to plug into a wireless router - But you can get wireless print boxes I think that would do what you're looking for. And you wouldn't have to buy a much more expensive printer loaded with features you don't need. Let us know what you end up doing 😛
