Hello all...

I'm building my wife a computer based on the Shuttle SV25 and using a KDS Rad5 monitor. I wanted to get her some speakers that will compliment the system while saving space. A matching keyboard (to the KDS monitor) would also be nice. Any ideas on this one?

Since this is a secondary system, I would like to keep the cost low.

TIA

Directron has a bunch of silver accessories to go with your silver case. You may not find the best speakers in the world, but then again, you're not matching them up with the best sound either (integrated). It should be a pretty nice all silver looking system though. Good luck!!!

Cool... that is a start.

The selection there is a little weak, but it is a start. I like the way they actually have sections in their store for color matching.

Those are sweet. But you are right, a bit pricey for a second system that will be based on a Celeron Processor with integrated sound.

<< Still looking...

does anyone have any opinion on these Benwin speakers?

Benwin Speaker

Are these silver or beige?

I have the Benwin Ex4a flat pannel nxt speakers, 2.1 setup. Personally, i found the bass to be a bit too weak and the sound washed out and lacking the fullness that you get with conventional speakers. They're also a plastic gray, and don't quite shine like the titanium in the picture. I heard great thins about the TDK tremor series. They actually have a whole line of them, so if the 150 watt version is too pricey, you may want to consider the 80 watt ones at half the cost.

I may just have to do that. Any tips? What kind of paint works best?

You might want to check in the Cases&cooling forum. Those guys do a lot of this kind of stuff.
