I had a Miller and Kreisel V1-B that the plate amp shorted out to 100 db/90Hz hum when it went. So, I went to http://www.apexjr.com/amps.html to get a replacement amp since their Apex Junior was supposed to be a direct replacement for the V1-B amp. Well, they were out of stock and the guy on the phone talked me into a Apex Senior which jumped the watts up to 350 watts from the stock 250 watts with my speaker's dual voice coil setup.

Now, I can barely turn the amp up to a quarter volume without the sub flapping in the wind.

So, basically I'm looking for speaker suggestions, so I can greedily use all that power, for my present setup:

12" subwoofer cutout presently

2.7 cubic foot enclosure, sealed
AMP - 250 watts @ 8 ohm - 350 watts @ 4 ohm

You really can't live with your current output?

Well, now that you put it like that I almost feel like a glutton. :broken heart: Almost.

Yes, I can live with it. Do I want to start to keep my eyes out for something to replace a 30+ year old speaker that is overpowered by my amp? Yes.
