The GT 550m is about 10% faster than the GT 540m. Been as both laptops are pushing the same resolution the lenovo will perform slightly better while gaming and be almost exactly the same in most other scenarios.

Thx, I've been leaning toward the Lenovo, I've been reading good things about it, and haven't found a whole lot on the Asus!! But I did hear one guy say (when also comparing the two) that the ASUS was better becuz the "GPU version is superior, it has more cores." As I don't know what this means I thought I'd bring it your way! Thx for your help and input.

Cant you at least get a 7200 rpm drive? I'd rather have an i5 with an SSD than an i7 without.
