HELP! Klinux + BP6 w/2x366@550 + dnetc = only sees one CPU

GeoffS

Lifer
The bios sees two, the client only finds one. I've never used a BP6 before, so I don't know if I am missing something or not. I've tried Klinux 2.2, 2.3 & 2.4 (2.2 & 2.4 didn't see my network, 2.3 did). 2.2 saw two processors, 2.3 only sees one. WTF?!?!

Help me help the cause!

Thanks!

Hmmm, I used 2.1 (2.2?)D on a identical setup, BP6 w/ 366/550 and one of the config options is to let the client autodetect (worked for me) but there is also an option to tell it you have duals. Might want to try that version.

Unfortunately, Geoff is unavailable to accept the DUH! RTFM People's Choice award, but we know that he will be more vigilent in the future before posting spasmatically to the forum! Thank you! 😱

LOL,
/me writing this all this down for the Klinux_Duh.logs :Q

Sorry I've been out of the loop, I still don't have Inet and/or telephone at my new storefront yet, so I have no choice but to
actually get some work done. :disgust:

Klinux-2.1 is what you'll want, if 2.3 saw your network, but you probably know that by now, 😉

You should be getting 3.10 Mkeys/sec with that setup. 🙂

heh.heh... I am now cracking at 3.1 Mkeys/sec on the BP6 ... my personal herd now consists of

- dual c366@550 on a Gigabyte GA-6BXD running Linux
- dual c366@550 on an Abit BP6 running Klinux
- c366@550 on a Soyo SY-6VBA133 running Klinux
- c300A@450 on an Gigabyte GA-6BXC running Klinux
- c300A@450 on an Asus P3B-F running Win98
- c700@892 on an Asus P2B-F Running Win98
- c566@638 on an Abit BX6 running Win98
- Dell Dimension 733 (haven't spent a lot of time figuring out how to oc this one!) running Win98
