Help killing interference in speakers.

I have a pair of Boston Acoustics 2.1 speakers, nothing fancy, but it sounds good. The problem is that there is a radio tower 2 blocks down the street ( I live on top of a mountain) and I hear massive static, sometimes even radio stations cause the wires pick up the signal.

Is there any cheap way of shielding the wires so this will go away? if not, what are some solutions that I can have to have static free speakers?

Sounds like you would be a good candidate for USB speakers!

I don't know where the radio is leaking into your system, but I suppose you could wrap the speaker wires with aluminum foil and ground the foil to your case. It that works, you could check out shielded speaker cables.

Do you have other wired speakers in your home, like a stereo? Does it have the same problem?
