Help: KA-6100 stuck on post code 07

I have just gotten a FIC KA-6100 that seems to have a slight problem. It gets stuck on post code 07, which is CMOS & battery check. I have replaced the battery, so I believe that it is pretty good. However, I have no other ideas. Do I need to get a new flash chip, or get my chip flashed externally somehow? Or is there some other component that is failing?

Any help appreciated....
