I need some help!
I'm planning on putting together my first computer and need some advice. I have been researching a lot of different websites trying to put together the best setup. I need to know what components I should consider and were are the best places to purchases them. The system will run all the basics ie a few games, internet applications, microsoft office etc. I want to get into more video editing and multimedia type applications. Cost isn't a big factor as I want the system to last a few years. Please advise

As far as where to buy components, Newegg.com is the default around here and you can pick up some great deals at Dell.com. Hang out in the Hot Deals forum for some reallyl fantastic buys.

One of your first decisions is going to be whether to go with AMD or Intel. From there you can begin researching motherboards.

The people here will help you with all your decisions and problems. Just ask.
