I bought two gforce 2 mx200 from Ocie.com it took forever to get here, UPS from California to NY. I put one card in my brothers computer and it would freeze up windows when the screen saver came on and it would freeze up right away when we started playing Quake or UT. Dropped agp to 2X and it has been running very sable.

Is that hurting my performance, dropping AGP from 4X to 2X.

I put
The other card in my system and there were lines going down the Windows Startup screen, and when windows loaded the picture was disgusting. I could barely see anything. Wherever I moved my mouse this ugly green trail about an inch think followed me and it covered up the wallpaper and icons where I could not see them at all. I was able to sift through all that sh-t and load up the drivers, but nothing came of it, still same ugly picture.

I think I am screwed. Should I return both cards. They were made by Inno3D.

I am scared to get another one of these piece of sh-ts.
All of Ocie.com's graphic cards are made by Inno so I cant even trade it towards another card.
Do you think I should plop more money down and get the geforce 2 pro made by Inno3d.

Well the speed difference between AGP 2x and 4x is negligable, nowhere is it near double, so no worries about that.

Also, did you complete remove all your old drivers and installed the latest ones? The 12.40's off of www.nvidia.com?

Try reloading drivers and such and see if that helps. Also do you get distorted pictures before Windows loads? ie: at the POST, and bios info screens? or is it only in Windows?

At post and bios screen it is fine but as soon as you see the Windows load screen it is really bad, bad when you know something is very wrong.

You didn't answer the previos question. Did you install the latest drivers? That would give you the problems you are experiencing.

Normally you could see the windows start up screen and the desktop even if there are no drivers.

Different here, it looks like matrix code is racing around my screen it is really nasty. I think it is defective.

That can mean BAD or incorrect drivers.

You dont have to agree that bad drivers can cause a matrix like problem. But you should answer the question.

Edit - and also check your bios settings, something in there could be amiss.

I did put in the latest drivers.

I have two of the same cards. One works on both systems one is screwed up on both systems. It probably is defected.

I guess I will send it back.

Should I get a better card.

Thw website I got them from Ocie.com only had Inno3d manufactured cards. Should I buy from them or use my credit for other things and buy a better named manufacturer from some where else.

So you knew one was deffective, what was the post for? You never made it clear that 1 card worked in both systems, and 1 card did not. But okay, if you say so...

How much did you pay for those cards? I doubt they cost more than 10% less than a good card... why go for cheapness in a vid card? The quality of a vid card largely determines the 2D quality, and frankly I have never heard of "inno" or whatever.
