I can't view any webpage that uses java.
It just gives me a big grey box with a stupid little red x on the top left side.
I've downloaded and installed the latest java but still nothing.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Oh, I can't view java with both firefox and IE.

HELP please, and thanks!!!

Do you see a Java icon in the taskbar notification area? If so, can you right click it and view the Java Console, and see if there are any errors listed there?

When you go to "about😛lugins" in firefox is there anything listed about java? Usually if you need a plugin for a certain page firefox will slidedown the little yellow bar and ask you if you want to install it.

I chose to hid the icon on the taskbar and I don't know how to show it again. However, when I right cliock on the little grey box with the red x on it, I do get a bunch of errors.

Isn't that a javascript console?

Honestly, I don't know. I'm not a computer guy. I know the basics but that's about it.
All I know is I'm seeing a grey box with a red x and it's annoying.
Help pleeeeeeeease...

Hmm, let's just be sure we're talking about java and not javascript for the whole issue. Java isn't really that common in webpages and it shouldn't be too annoying not to have it, unless there is something very specific you need it for. Can you post a link to something that doesn't display as it should?
