I have a Iwill Ka266-r, an AMD 1.4 w/ 266 bus, 256mb of crucial PC2100 ram, and an ATI Radeon LE. It took me about a month and 1/2 to collect all these parts, and finally started putting it together on Monday. Well, I hooked everything up. Tried to start it, but all it would do is beep, long beeps that loop forever. I can't see any messages on the monitor.
I went over to iwill's support site. Found a section on what the beeps means, and it said "Long(Beep) continuous DRAM hasn't inset correctly." I took that to mean there was a problem with my ram, so I swithed sockets, made sure it was seated properly, but still no go. So I figured the ram was defective and sent it back. Now the new one they sent me is doing the same thing...
Anyone know what the problem is? Maybe its not the ram at all. Normally, I would just return the MB, but its been way over 30 days, so I can't. I also can't find any warranty info for Iwill.
