I just was probed and black Ice gave me his Ip I know nothing of hacking so what can I do to find out what this person was trying to do? Can I contact him/her in any way having only thier IP address?

People are always port probing on the net. It doesn't mean you were hacked. LOL!
Do you have logs from blackice. what does it say?

I got it from blackice it gives you the ip and some info about the net provider that was used

Probed and hacked are 2 different things. You will get probed a lot.....

People tend to sweep Ip online to retrieve information or look for someone to hack. It happens all the time man.

blackice will make you paranoid

i stopped using it as it is way too sensitive for my tastes

got myself a nice $80 router and don't really worry about it any more

Blackice is always detecting various port probes....I don't even pay attention anymore......I guess it is the probes that Blackice doesn't detect that you should be worried about....
