HELP - IS7 won't detect all Drives / SATA enabled

ABIT IS7 - I just got a SATA adapter to hook up to my IDE HDD to the SATA 1

I have DVD drive on the IDE1 and a CDRW on IDE2 , both set Master

Windows boots fine

Can't get both CD drives detected, it's either one or the other depending on BIOS settings

the BIOS detects the HDD as a IDE device, even thought it's on the SATA cable /channel!

I want my HDD and CD drives....
