HELP! Is there a piece of software that can check your CDR media to see what capacity it is?

Hi all,

I've been away for a while, in fact I've been in Atlanta (Strange Place) and just arrived back in the UK.

Is there some software that I can DL to test my CD Media. I've bought some 90min CD's and Nero is reporting the size to be 80Mins. However I have over burned the CD's to 89 Mins so I guess they are 90Mins. However, I'd like to have this confirmed by additional software.

Any idea's ppl.

Thanx 4 your time.

Yes, I use Feurio for testing CDR capacity. AFAIK all >80min CDRs have false ATIP information so programs will identify them as 80min CDRs, but they will overburn to their rated capacity (if bought from a reliable vendor). To use Feurio to test the capacity, open up "Feurio! CD Writer" and click on Extras>Test capacity of CD-R, and it will take you through the rest. This is done without writing to the CD, so you don't have to fear losing a CDR for the sake of the test 🙂
