I have a Red Oscar that is super aggressive. He attacked all his tankmates and tore up a small one pretty bad. He also nipped the side of another one (slight bigger than him) and it has become unsightly to look at. He also ripped the fins of all the fish. I pissed off at it because I would have probably killed everything in the tank. I moved him to a separate tank so that he could be by himself. I have some Leopard Danios in another tank next to him and he tries to get through to them, however, he doesn't accept any food that I offer him. He just sits at the bottom of the tank looking at the Danios lunging at them every so often. He ate everything readily in the former tank. I don't want to give him up either because he is the best colored fish I have. His sides are a bright orange and his fins are super black. As if that wasn't cool enough, he turns super orange (including all the black parts) when he is chasing this tankmates.

What should I do? Should I put him back and see what happens after the other fish have healed?

Ever read the Survivor by Chuck Pahalaniuk? Read the first chapter....you'll know what to do..;)

Seriously, IIRC Oscars do not "play well with others"...he'll need his own tank or you'll end up with one well-fed fish.

start feeding him raw meat ;) I have a rock grouper that was pretty small when I put him in my tank and was being attacked my a blue damsel, he finally ate it, then proceeded to kill my tangs, all I have left is some crabs some angels, and the grouper who occasionally sucks up the hermit crabs, doesn't help your situation at all, but I just thought I would share the story lol
