When I tried to start my computer today I got no response. After removing the side panel to investigate, I found that my Gladiator HS+F had fallen off and was hanging by it's power cord. When I remounted it I still had no response. What's going on here???? I had my Epox 8K7A+ board set to shut down when the CPU temps got above 65, so I don't think I've burnt up the CPU. I did notice that when I reconnected the HS+F I got a small jolt of power to the system, because my fans started to turn for a split second, but now I don't even get that. I'm still a newbie at this, so any advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

pop the battery and clear the cmos,it may help.
oh unhook the power to the power supply first, and push the power button on/off like three{3} times first;on your case... then reset the cmos...hope it helps,it worked for me,,
dont forget to reset your setting after, and also put the cmos jumper back to normal and reinstall the battery in the mboard before ya plug in the power again!!;)

Thanks cavemanmoron, but it didn't work. However, it did cause a small surge of power to begin to turn the fans for a split second.

" I got a small jolt of power to the system, because my fans started to turn for a split second..."

When I built this computer (my first one) I had this same problem when I first pressed the power button. The fans would spin and then everything would die out.

The problem:
I had to reset the CMOS settings. Do what cavemanmoron said. Just pull out the battery on the mobo, pop it back in, and then try it out.

Edit: Bleh, if cavemanmoron's suggestion didn't work mine probably won't either :/

dont forget to make sure a /the cpu fan is plugged into the cpu fan header[plug in spot]
or most mboards wont let the thing run...to save the cpu....... good luck

After clearing CMOS, the fans start but it wont post. Exchange the 1.33 with a working 1Gig T-bird and still no post.... Is my board damaged??
