I need an external CD burner for my laptop and I don't have too much to spend. I found a Lite-On "EXTERNAL WITH PCMCIA 12X10X32 Port CD-RW Drive with PCMCIA Interface ,AC Adapter CDRW" for 145 plus shipping. Is that a good price?

All the USB ones are around 120 or 130 for 4x ones--acers and philips. I heard that Lite-On isn't bad for internal CD burners, but I don't know if they're any good for external ones.

Also another thing that troubles me is that I can't seem to find a product matching this description on the Lite-On website. :(

The name of the site is str8buy.com, and they have
this listed for 145. hm...it doesn't say anything about burnproof. And it sounds really similar to the one mentioned on pricewatch, except a different brand. Although pricewatch did mention phone orders only.

Another drive I was looking at is the Firewire one. Unfortunately if I do end up getting this drive, I would have to get a firewire adapter as well. Does anyone know how much that would cost? The cheapest generic brand I found was 39 plus shipping
here.

Does anyone know where I can find a cheaper external cd burner with burn proof?

Any ideas as to where I can find out if the lite-on drive has burnproof? Help...what should I do?
