I recently acquired a GIGABYTE GA-6VXDC7 dual CPU MB to replace my fried Abit BP6.
I have/had 2x celeron 366 @550 on the Abit running with no problems. Now that I have replaced teh Abit with the Gigabyte, I can't run them at ANYTHING higer than the default speed.

Sadly the Gigabyte has DIP switches and no softmenu (I'm spoiled).

Regardless, when i switch the FSB on the MB from 66 to 100 (via the DIPs) I get NOTHING. no bios post nothing. In fact one of the CPU Fans (plugged into the MB) doesn't turn on. I find tht the oddest thing of all.

The multiplier is still left at 5.5 ONLY flipping the on DIP to switch from 66 to 100. I get NO boot up action at all.

ANY ideas?

Sounds like either voltage or that your new board is just not as stable as the older one.

Next time it would be a good idea to do a bit more research before your purchase.
