I'm not happy with my CPU temperature. I'm using the software package ASUS Probe to monitor my temperature. My CMOS doesn't have that feature. But anyway, is this temperature OK for my CPU? My motherboard's temperature is at about 103 F. Is that OK as well? Please advise...

that sounds extremely high. I'm used to seeing celsius, but 147F is well over 50 C, is it not? I'd say anything over 125 F is too hot. Also, the mobo temp shouldn't be that high either. I'm gonna guess that you dont have good airflow in your case. Put a couple of fans in there and see if it makes a difference. Try taking the cover off as well if it isn't already.

What kind of case do you have for one thing? Does it have a fan vent in the back of it so you can mount a fan in the back of your case; blowing out.? What kind of Heatsink you got? and Fan? Mini or MID case? Details...

Your system temp is way too high. What is your room temp? You seriously need to get some case fans. Cooling the air your using to cool your processor will help lower your processor temps. Try adding a few case fans until your system temp gets down to the 80-85F temps. That will knock off the same amount from the processor which will still be warm, but would be much better than it is now.

XRaider,
I have an aluminum midtower. I'm not sure what kind of heatsink and fan I have, but all I know is it's hella loud. This aluminum case didn't come with an intake fan, but it came with a fan duct that sits right above the chip and it's suppose to blow out all the hot air right out. I have two hard drive coolers on the bays, and a DVD-ROM and CD-RW. One thing funny about this case and its fan system though, there's another fan mounted inside the case that blows TOWARDS the front of the case. This one sits on top where the bays are at. Any thoughts?

Is this goofy fan mounted on the P/S? I've seen a Shadeway I mean Gateway that way.... I think.? Anyhoo..
Is there a fan in the vent on the back off the case (by the cpu)? Ya definitely need one there man. Why you really need HD coolers is beyond me..!? But since it is sooo HOT in your room / PC ya might need them. But what I think and I'm sure others do too, is that you need one where i said to put one (inside, back of case) Blowing out. Does your P/S have enough Vents in it also? Some cheap a$$ P/S units only have like one set of holes in it thats why... not enough to help out.
