HELP - internet connection

This is actually for a friend. She has a D-Link DWL G630 wifi card. Went through the setup and she gets a signal. The signals good. However, she cannot get on the internet. Everytime IE is clicked on, it sends her to that "can't find web page etc." Any suggestions? FYI, she has the latest driver. I saw in another forum someone mention the Sasser virus. Is that a possibility? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

we are at this place that provides free internet access. I have a built in Dell and my wireless just automatically connects when I start up. Actually, we just figured that she does not have the correct IP address. The one that shows on her wireless network connection status is not the same as mine. Since mine works fine, I'm assuming she has the wrong one. How do I get her the right one as mine?

Look at the Wireless Network settings in your computer and make sure that hers is configure the same way.

She's given up. Just going to return the card and try something else. Thanks for all the help.
