Im currently trying to install WinXP Pro retail on my own home build and I receive the following error message almost halfway thru the installation-

Device Installer Error - Windows could not load the installer for CDROM. Contact your hardware Vendor for assistance.

Any help in solving this is greatly appreciated.

Are you using an original hologram CD? (if you made a slipstream CD, maybe a file or two was missed)
Try another CDrom drive?
