Hey folks,

I just tried reinstalling win98se on my laptop after I reformatted the hard drive (selling the laptop to a friend once I get win98se installed again), and for some reason the installation crashed around 80%. Now I try to reboot the machine and keep getting an "Invalid system disk" message. This occurs right at startup and prevents me from doing anything on the machine; I can't even access DOS or windows. Anyone know what I can do to rectify this problem? The only thing I can think it might be is that it needs a boot disk, but unfortunately I didn't make one as I've never had a problem reformatting my harddrive or reinstalling Windows before. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you leave the CD in the drive? It may be trying to load that.

Do this:
Get into the BIOS, and choose booting sequence.
Make CDROM before hard drive, save and exit
Then turn off the computer, and put the disc in.
Boot, it should bring up the windows disc, then do a full install

That should work..
