when i tried to install xp with sata hard drives it said no harddrive was connected hit f1 to exit

when it asks me to press f6 to install any scsi or raid devices to i have to do that?...my drives are not in raid

Yes you must hit F6 and then insert the floppy that came with your mb which has the drivers for your controller. Without these drivers windows will never see the drive and it can be quite frustrating. If you have a usb keyboard make sure that support is enabled in bios for it or plug it in using a usb to ps2 adaptor.

sh*t...just installed the floppy in my new pc but i dont think the psu came with the power connector for the floppy???

what can i do?

this one looks more like it but i says 4 pin to 3 pin floppy adapter and my floppy looks like it has 4 pins coming out of it

Tha's a fan one.

This adapter is a 4-pin Molex cable to 3-pin Female Socket. This cable is perfect for adding 4-pin fans to 3-pin fan controllers.
Cable is 100% wrapped in nylon Techflex sleeving and premium heatshrink, colors of your choice!
.

are you using xp w/sp2......... 'cause i just install xp w/sata drives and i never had to use any so-called drivers. 😕
