Help Installing Program From CD

I have a new laptop with Win 7 and I'm trying to install MSFT Flight Simulator 9 through the ODD. The CD spins but doesn't automatically open like a movie does. I know there must be some little thing, but I haven't the foggiest. I have autoplay set to do so (I think). A movie will start through Windows Media Player, but not FS9. I never had this problem with XP.

So, what am I doing wrong? Or not doing?

Thank you in advance.

Hold down the Windows key and hit the 'E' key. Navigate to the optical drive and double click on the SETUP.EXE file. This should start the setup program.

To troubleshoot the general problem, go to Start, Control Panel, and select Autoplay. Make sure the checkbox is set for "Use Autoplay for all Media and Devices". Under the Software and Games pulldown, make sure to select either "Ask me every time" or "Install or run program from your media" is selected. Click the SAVE button and exit.

Do be aware that autorun can be a security risk though if you load an infected disc and it automatically executes.
