Ok, I have two hard drives, with a total of 5 partitions. I've organized the partitions so that I have on partition completely empty. So, I thought it'd be a piece of cake after doing this, but I booted into the DVD and I was confused by hda and hdb and whatnot. I'm just confused as to what to do here. I would like to install it on my empty partition but I can't figure out how to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ok, well I sorta figured it out. I will be installing in hda2. However, now I'm confused as to what I need. I need a swap partition (~512mb) and a root partition? I can't seem to "add" this partition. Is it the same as /usr ? I also don't see a /home. What is /var? I'm confused as to what I need.
