Is it just me or is this thing really friggin difficult to install?
I have a retail 866 coppermine chip, installing on an Asus CUSL2-C mobo. He didn't care too much about overclocking and just wanted stability, etc., so I didn't bother getting a new hs/fan combo and figured the retail one would be fine.
Is there a trick to this or something? I've installed Alpha PEP66's, GlobalWin's, and GOrbs, the hardest for me probably being the GOrbs, but the pressure required for this is ridiculous, and its quite difficult for me to get my fingers in there without touching the huge capacitors to the left of the CPU. Granted, I've never installed on an FCPGA mobo, rather, always either slot1 or on a slotket card, and I think its a lot easier to get a grip with the slotkets cause you can turn them whichever way you need to.
Any hints or thoughts? I think I'm just going to throw on an extra GOrb I have here and forget about the extra $10.
