Help installing BF 1942

I am fairly new to this and not sure where to go. I am having trouble installing bf1942 from a cd a friend made me. I tried the no cd patch and even tried running it from an image and still no work.

Spec:
P4 1.7
64mb Geforce 2
256mb ram

It gets to the screen when I select play, attempt to load and then crashes. Can anyone offer any help??

Your system can handle it (albeit lowest settings because of GPU and memory). Some questions...
1) Have you installed all the game patches?
2) What version of Windows are you running?
3) What version of DirectX do you have?
4) Have latest drivers for everything?

Hah, I didnt see that. Probably your friends CD-Burner isnt advanced enough to override a lot of copy protection. Sorry buddy, there's a Hot Deal right now where you can buy it for $19.99.
