Help! Installing AIW 9700 Pro power connector

I'm about to hook up my AIW 9700 Pro, but I have a problem. The ATI's installation instructions state that I have to connect the power connector from the AIW card to the hard drive and then the other end to the power supply. The thing is, I have a SATA hard drive and the AIW uses 4-pin molex connectors. 🙁
So, I can't plug in the AIW into the harddrive.

Does it have to be plugged into the hard drive first or can I just plug it in directly to the connector from the power supply?

Thank you!

Plug it in directly. I can't imagine why they would want you to do it the other way.

Just looked at the card. Is that a standard floppy connector? I would use that if I could and get that extra harness out of the picture. Lot cleaner that way. Airflow and visually I mean.

You can plug it in directly. You can also use the spare connector for something other than a Hard Drive (read: Anything that is four-pin molex).

Thanks guys!

I hooked it up with a floppy connector directly of a PS, looks neat and works great. I'll share my system specs once I move everything over to it from my old rig.

Oh the silence of my new system is unbelievable!
