help! installed zalman vf700 on gpu, weird beeping noise!

Iinstalled my zalman vf700 on my nvidia 6800gt card and when I turned on my computer there was a loud beeping noise. So I shut down my computer. Did I instal the zalman wrong? and it was my motherboard warning sound? This ever happened to anyone?

did you remember to plug the power cable back in? i know ive done that before and heard that noise =)

It may be that your video card dislikes not having a fan plugged into it, and is complaining.

actually, dheffer was correct, i forgot to plug the power supply into the card.
