Help--Installed Belkin port router, and now boot up is slow as ever

Installed new belkin 4 port, model#F5D5230-4 onto my dsl service, seems to work good, but now takes forever to boot up to my desktop, or to shut down when turning the computer off.. running win2k on a PII 450 mhz .. any assistance/suggestions would be appreciated

A router should not affect your boot time at all. What did you install recently?

Did you uninstalled the PPPOE software, and ICS?

If not then do it!

ICS is a Software NAT (Router) that people at times use when the are into Anti Hardware Router Mode.

If you don?t know what it is you probably did not use it.
