I have a LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1S with latest LITE-ON firmware
I primarily use it to copy media files off my DVD-RAM drive (I burn videos onto them from a standalone DVD Recorder). The DVD-RAM discs are Panasonic brand.
The read speed is only 5X. I used Nero DriveSpeed. There is an option for 12X in the drop-down menu ... but it does not help ... the Current speed setting remains 5X. Reducing the speed to 3X from the drop-down works - which confirms that DriveSpeed is able to make changes. But it does not up it beyond 5X.
Is there a hack to make it read these discs any faster ?
