Help in finding a dos game/win 3.11?

Okay, so my girlfriend have been trying to remember a game she used to play back in her childhood... She's given me this description;

Your playing as a "monster" of some sort, your objective is to go hunting for treasure(diamonds), while you move around you eat something that resembles "grass" that's in your patch...

You can find keys to unlock doors etc and also there can be a "rock" above some entrances which can kill you/block the path behind you as you enter a "room", so you had to be careful...

Also she and my father in law says it resembles a labyrinth game of sorts...

Hope anyone can think out/have played this game so you could name it for me, you will stop the endless nagging for me and also my endless search on google, hehe =)

Yes, that's what my gf and father in law says 🙂

I showed her a gameplay clip of boulder dash / repton now and she says it's more or less that game just a diffrent person you play as...

The person you control (monster) looks like a "gremlins" of sort ;p Getting close to the actual game though, thanks!
