Help in converting Network cable to peer to peer

Hello everyone, I was wondering how to change a regular network cable ( computer to hub) to a peer to peer network cable( from one computer to another computer). Which wires do I have to switch. Thanks for any help.

This is how to make a crossover cable, but if you already have a straight cable, it may be just easier to spend a few dollars on a converter from somewhere like radio shack.

1 and 3, 2 and 6. I am sure the diagram ladi provided via the link shows that, but I agree about getting a crossover coupler or better yet, just buying a crossover cable. If you want to do it yourself, you will need an end and a crimper of some sort. I believe they make self crimp ends although I have only used the crimper method.
