Hi,
I'm looking for a new video card for my system, here is the config:

PIII 866MHz
384MB Ram
Diamond TNT2 OEM video card

I play mostly first person shooting game (Quake III, RainBow 6 etc) and racing games. I'm thinking of either KyroII 4500 or Geforce2 GTS 32MB.
I'll be running it mostly on a Win2k machine (dual boot 98/2K). Any suggestions?

I too am deciding between a Hercules Prophet 4500 kyro2 and a Pixelview (or Prolink) Geforce2 GTS 64mb. Here is Australia they are priced identically. Im just curious which will suit me better.

I mainly play FPS style games (CS, Delta Force 3, Rogue Spear) but I also use Cad programs to do reasonably simple 2D technical drawings.

Ive been reading issues on the Geforce series having bad 2D quality and the Kyro2 having good 2D quality. The 3D is obviously good on the Geforce that im looking at and the kyro2 is still very volitile as far as its 3D performance is concerned. (Dont know if volatile is the right word but you know what i mean)

What do you guys that have used these cards think?
Does anyone actually own a 64mb Pixelview GF2 GTS?

Most nVidia cards older than the GF3 do have pretty poor image quality. The Kyro II does have better 2d image quality. I'd get the Kyro II because of the better performance. The Kyro does have poorer drivers for Win2k, though.
