Help in choosing a videocard????

Hi, I am interested in upgrading from my trusty Geforce 2 GTS. I have been reading about the latest releases from ATI and nVidia, but it's hard to tell if I should get something already out or wait until the new releases arrive in April. I am on a budget and would like to stay under $100.00, if possible, so a Radeon 9700 or 9800 is out of the question. I was pretty settled on a Radeon 8500 or 9100, but then I read about the 9500 and DirectX9 so I started thinking about spending an extra $50.00 to get that feature and increased speed. Also will a 64 or 128 meg card make a big speed difference? I am the kind of guy who holds on to a videocard for a couple of years (2.5 years for the GTS). Any suggestions, comments would be welcome. Thx in advance.

do you do alot of gaming? if not the 64 meg should do just fine...if you do then definately look for something with 128...I happened upon a deal at compusa for the radeon 6000, its a compusa exclusive...has 64 megs on board, dual monitor support, and dvi all for about 65 bucks IIRC...works great for me, but I dont do alot of gaming

do u have a link for the "radeon 6000"? according to the naming scheme... that would really suck for gaming. but just thought it was interesting.

anyway... if u want to play hte newer up and coming games... probably 128mb would be the way to go. if u just wanna play older games with higher fps and higher details... a 64mb card will suffice. personally... i think the 9500 pro would be great if u can land one in the neighborhood of $150.
