Help in Building an External Hard Drive

Hey,

All I know is that I should buy an external hard drive case, and a hard drive (400GB).. and put them together.

Is there anything that I should be aware of, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Just make sure you don't try to put a SATA drive in an external case that only supports IDE. Beyond that it's pretty foolproof.

I can't find the post but it has been answered before. There is a specific chipset that you want on the enclosure. Make sure if you get an enclsoure that has a fan if you want to keep it oun for an extended amount of time as well.
